Macon, Ga.-- The former Peach Area Habitat for Humanities has transitioned to Fuller Center Middle Georgia to continue the work of working to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing for the citizens of Peach County.

Fuller Center Middle Georgia (FCMGa), a faith-based nonprofit, is a local partner of the The Fuller Center for Housing, an affordable housing nonprofit working in 60 U.S. cities and 17 nations throughout the world. Both Habitat for Humanity and Fuller Center for Housing were founded by Linda and Millard Fuller.

FCMGa has served the community of Macon since 2011 and has served more than 600 families in that time. FCMGa programs include: Greater Blessings through which current homeowners receive assistance with critical home repairs, and; Save A House which provides a pathway to homeownership for first-time, low-income individuals and families who are offered zero interest mortgages for 10-30 years. The focus of FCMGa in Peach County will be to repair and rehabilitate owner-occupied homes for families who, due to economic circumstances, cannot otherwise afford a to maintain their own home.

“We appreciate the trust placed in us by the board of Peach Area Habitat for Humanity. We are also pleased that their members have agreed to continue to provide guidance as we move forward in Peach County. We are excited by this opportunity to uphold the high standard set by this great group of leaders and I look forward to working with them to serve the residents of Peach County”, says Executive Director, Lynda Brown.

Members of the FCMGa Peach County Advisory Board include LaRhonda Patrick, Alfred Ellis, Dr. Josephine Davis, Tim Wilson, Lomenzo Reddick and Alonzo Allen.

Thanks to referrals from Advisory Board members, FCMGa recently began meeting with applicants for services in Peach County. To volunteer, donate or apply, community members should call the FCMGa office at 478-845-8087 or visit www.fcmga.org.
