DCA has funded community agencies to respond to housing issues faced by Georgia neighbors due to COVID-19. This partnership provides multiple benefits to communities: providing housing stability to residents, rehousing individuals and families, and revitalizing communities through financial incentives to property owners and landlords. These agencies have funding to cover unpaid rent balances, new move-in costs, and current/ongoing rent payments. The partnership further invests in the local communities by offering property owners a stream of tenants to fill vacancies, supportive services to keep a peaceful living environment, and reliable payments to ensure landlords have the revenue necessary to maintain the property and pay their bills. We have partnerships with agencies across the state to ensure as few Georgians as possible experience housing insecurity as a result of the pandemic.
