Georgia’s Global Impact with Japan: 50 Years & Counting

October 18, 2023
Georgia Department of Economic Development

The creation of Georgia’s first international offices 50 years ago kick-started decades of investment in global partnerships that continuously create prosperity for Georgians. Japan was the state’s earliest international office – and since establishing our formal presence both there and in Europe in 1973, we’ve continued to pursue strategic foreign investment with proven results. Representatives in 12 key markets around the world are finding the right markets for Georgia exporters and keeping Georgia connected on a global scale. Regardless of their homebase, international companies that invest in Georgia feel firsthand the benefits of our signature partnership approach to business. In short, they become Georgia companies.
