The Development Authority of Peach County and Central Georgia Technical College partnered in their efforts to make the first annual Peach Regional Workforce Development Center Job Fair a success and it paid off! At 2:30, there were well over 200 attendees who came ready to talk to multiple employeers looking to hire for open positions. Representatives from HSM, Blue Bird, Graphic Packaging and many more were on hand to discuss opportunities with prospective employees. BJ Walker, Executive Director for the Development Authority even took to the road to "spin" directional signs to help direct traffic towards the Workforce Development Center! April Hodges and Michaela Jones with the Peach County Board of Commissioners were on hand as well to inform applicants about open positions with the County. Overall, the event was a "tremendous success", according to Courtney Watkins of Central Georgia Technical College. She said, "This is fantastic and we're really happy with the number of people who have come out today".
