Referendum to Allow Freeport for Fulfillment Center Inventory Passed in Peach County
March 22, 2017
Voters in Peach County, Georgia voted YES on a referendum to allow Freeport for Fulfillment Center Inventory last night. The success came after weeks of promoting the importance of this referendum and how it could potentially encourage expansion efforts and plans for companies who hold large quantities of stock for distribution. In light of a recent and encouraging uptick in fulfillment centers setteling in the Middle Georgia region, this is a solid step in the right direction for Peach County. Not only does it position the community for serious consideration by these fulfillment businesses -- like Amazon -- it proves to the site selection consultants and companies that Peach County is "open for business" and ready to get in the mix.
