On October 26, 2017, Members of the Joint Development Authority of Peach County and the City of Warner Robins (JDA) and the I-75 Corridor Council made their way up to Georgia EMC headquarters in Atlanta to showcase the new Georgia International Industrial Park in Peach County & the City of Warner Robins. "This property is the next big thing to hit the market in the Middle Georgia area", said Candice Scott, Senior Project Manager, Region 6, Georgia Department of Economic Development when she first saw the proposed land plan.
BJ Walker, Executive Director for both the Development Authority of Peach County and the JDA, was excited to share the particulars with members of various economic development teams. In attendance were representatives from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG), Georgia EMC, private real estate developers and other entities involved with economic development efforts in the area and state.
The continued and concentrated effort supported by the I-75 Corridor Council and the JDA is proof that good things come from working together in advance of projects. The goal all along has been to promote and encourage trust between all of the agencies represented by the I-75 Corridor Council and to continually work together to promote and develop the vast resources available along the Corridor. Since the meeting on the 26th, there have been multiple inquires into the property -- above and beyond the daily calls our office(s) receive -- which is encouraging.
