Week 2: "The Industrial Shift: New Opportunities in the Robins International Industrial Park"
PEACH COUNTY, GA – The Robins International Industrial Park, once a sprawling expanse of undeveloped land, is now a hub of activity, signaling a significant shift in the county's economic trajectory.
"We were looking for a location with excellent transportation access, and Peach County fit the bill perfectly," says Kiho Kang, CEO of KIHOMAC, one of the park's newest tenants. "Being right off I-75 allows us to efficiently serve our customers across the Southeast and beyond."
The park is attracting a variety of businesses, including manufacturing, distribution, and even some technology firms. This influx of industry is creating much-needed jobs for local residents.
"I was commuting to Macon for work before," says Park employee, Lisa Williams. "Now, I have a good-paying job just minutes from home. It's made a huge difference for my family."
The county has invested heavily in infrastructure to support this growth, including road improvements, utility upgrades, and high-speed internet access. This collaboration between the local government and private industry is proving to be a successful model.
"We're working hard to create a business-friendly environment," says BJ Walker. "We want companies to know that Peach County is open for business."
