Business Resources
THE BEST OF GEORGIA:
A NEW WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTER.
INCENTIVES. LOGISTICS. LOWER COSTS. IT’S ALL HERE.
Business resources in Peach County and Georgia are as rich as they are diverse. Locally, the debut of our new WorkForce Development Center highlights our commitment to innovative thinking and real-world problem solving. It will help us ensure that businesses that work here – and businesses that move here – have skilled, educated workers in place. That goal is supported by partnerships with our technical college system (there are five technical colleges in middle Georgia alone), our internationally acclaimed Quick Start program for training and development, and Work Ready, a well-proven program that matches jobs and employees with efficiency and consistency.
THE BEST OF GEORGIA:
SMALL BUSINESS SOLUTIONS - WE'VE GOT THOSE TOO.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - a division of the University of Georgia - is a great resource for small businesses looking to expand, gain access to capital, obtain assistance with planning and marketing, etc.
According to the Kauffman Foundation, Georgia is ranked #2 in entrepreneurial activity over the last decade. What’s more, the business climate here is not only innovative, it’s diverse. The number of women-owned businesses here is well over the national average, and the percentage of African-American owned businesses is triple the U.S. norm. The economy is rock-solid, too. Georgia is one of a handful of states to own the highest bond ratings (AAA) from all three major municipal bond rating agencies — Moody’s, Fitch and Standard & Poor’s. It also consistently maintains one of the lowest debt-per-capita levels in the United States.
