Barnes Paper Company Announces Relocation To Peach County

August 5, 2016

Barnes Paper Company, based out of Birmingham, Alabama, recently announced their arrival in Peach County.  Their conversion plant operations, formally located in Perry, Georgia, has moved into the space recently vacated by American Tire Distributors who expanded their Peach County distribution center operations into a brand new facility across I-75 in Byron.   The space being occupied by Barnes Paper Company is a 50,000+ s.q. f.t manufacturing facility located at 102 Dunbar Road in the North Peach Industrial Park.  After looking at multiple suitable locations in the Middle Georgia area, Buck Pearson and his business partner, Ray Barnes, decided to purchase the Byron facility rather than lease.  It was a perfect match for what they needed: access to markets and quality labor.   With their peak season ramping up, they need to be ready to roll (paper) and they will be.

Barnes Paper Company does around $50,000,000.00 of business each year and the new plant in Byron will employ 50-60 employees with plans to expand and increase that number to 100 within the next few years.  Buck Pearson said, "...my partner and I are excited about being in Byron and Peach County and look forward to doing business here".

The plant will be in full production mode by mid-September 2016.
