Breaking Trade Records Three Years in a Row

Georgia broke trade records for the third year in a row in 2023, surpassing $49.7 billion in exports.

What’s the impact? A more resilient economy that allows businesses to shift their strategies as market opportunities evolve. Trade’s ripple effect creates jobs for Georgians, with an estimated one in nine jobs in Georgia tied to the logistics industry.  International trade touches every county in the state, and connects Georgia to 222 countries and territories around the globe.

  • Georgia small businesses represent more than 85% of exports.
  • 71% of total trade involved strategic markets connected by Georgia’s international representatives. 

Dive Deeper: Georgia exports have increased 26% since 2014, despite a decrease in U.S. exports overall. In Georgia's 2023 results:

  • Exports increased 5% compared to 2022.
  • Aerospace remains the top export.
  • Top trading partners include Korea, Canada, Mexico, and Germany.
