"Last week, the stock market continued its weekslong rally while the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady. Both the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average hit new highs on Friday, finishing the week at 4,959 and 15,629, respectively. The NASDAQ climbed 1.1% for the week. Several reports surprised analysts who had predicted a softening of the labor market."
