Legislative Calendar

Monday marked the start of the 2021 Session for the Georgia General Assembly. The legislature met Monday through Thursday, completing day 4 out of 40 legislative days. This week consisted of swearing in all elected state legislators who will serve their districts for the next two years; discussions of COVID-19 capitol protocol for the days ahead; followed by the Governor Kemp’s third State of the State Address. Next week, the joint House and Senate Appropriations Committees will meet to hear from Governor Kemp and various state agency leaders regarding the Amended Fiscal Year 2021 and Fiscal Year 2022 Budgets. The legislature will reconvene on Tuesday, January 26 for legislative day 5.
