Workforce Development Center
THE BEST OF GEORGIA:
A NEW WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTER.
Recently, Peach County took a giant step forward in workforce development. Our new Workforce Development Center opened its doors in the heart of the South Peach Industrial Park. This new facility will be the hub for a variety of programs, including CDL drivers training courses offered by Central Georgia Technical College. This location also houses the offices of the Industrial and Economic Development departments for Peach County. We welcome your visit here soon!
Our Workforce Development Center and partnerships with the Georgia Technical College System and the state offer companies a strong, competitive edge in locating and hiring quality workers. Quick Start has been ranked as the #1 workforce development program in the USA for 14 consecutive years – that’s one reason why Georgia is rated #1 in the nation for workforce training (CNBC). From advanced manufacturing to biotech and healthcare to food and agriculture to automotive and more, you’ll find a deep, diverse knowledge base here.
To keep your company competitive for years to come, Peach County is a certified Work Ready community. We understand the importance of hiring people who can boost your bottom line with smart, skilled, cost-effective work. It’s easy to access Work Ready through the state's network of technical colleges. You can implement Work Ready in two different ways: through job profiling and Work Ready Certificates. Work Ready job profiles identify the tasks and skills necessary to be successful in a job. Work Ready Certificates measure core skills to ensure the right person is placed in the right job every time. A simple investment of time (there is no cost to qualifying companies for Work Ready participation) can reap productivity rewards for years to come.
